Hello, We're trying to use the free perl based sendEmail to send automated email from a linux based server, and windows based control application. The program works fine with our corporate Windows 2003 based exchange server, and from my home using my ISP account. We wanted to be able to do system testing with an email server we could control to easily set up different accounts and authentication so we've been trying to use hMailServer.With the server set up on an XP based windows machine, we can send and receive email to private accounts on the server, and have them relayed through our corporate exchange server to corporate addresses using Thunderbird as a client. But when we try to send the same message from the same user, authenticated with the same password from sendEmail on either windows or linux, hMailServer authenticates ok, then refuses the SMTP FROM command with a 502 unimplmented command error.The wireshark trace shows the only difference in the Thuderbird vs sendEmail messages is Thunderbird appends a SIZE= command in the same message as the FROM command.Any idea whats happening, and what we can do to make it work?
