The Save Original Picture feature was great for the old system (v1.0).

But with the new file type options (video, pdf, doc, and other types) in v1.5 and 1.51, there is really no conversion being done to the files, thus the system is actually storing two idential copies of the files. Not like pictures, where the system makes a converted (smaller/resized) file from the original and then gives you the options to keep the original or just the converted one.

It makes no sense to store two identical copies of the large video and other files, the system should either be modified to only be allowed to save the original for pictures, for all others it should only save one copy. Or maybe, another checkbox in the setting to diable the double copies for multimedia files.

You are right! The new FPA does not save copies of those files any more. Thanks!

Great fix... How do we know we have the latest v1.51? The ReadMe file says 2009.05.02, and the download site says something newer.

ReadMe file data for the latest download:
Program: Free Perl Album
Version: 1.51 Build 2009.05.02
Author: Tri Dung Nguyen

When you enter the control panel and it checks the version, does it flag it if I have v1.51 and you made a newer v1.51?

I might be eaiser for all if you roll a new version number for each update, maybe v1.51.1, v1.51.2, or even v1.52...

The file you can get in the download section is from today. I did not change the version number. The date in the readme need to be changed. So this is the "Version 1.51 - Build 2009.09.29" :-)
