Hi,

I downloaded this script because I loved what I saw. But I'm having a lot of trouble getting it to work. I keep getting this error message:

Cannot open fpa_files/configs/general.fpa! No such file or directory at install.cgi line 1442

Could it be because I'm trying to install this script to a subdomain? (i.e., http://subdomain.mydomain.com as opposed to http://www.mydomain.com?

Thanks.

-Did you install the script on a Windows machine?
-Is that your second try? Please remove the two folders "cgi-bin/fpa_files" and "DOCUMENT_ROOT/fpa_public" before re-installing the script. The error message only comes up when you update an older version.

- Can you please send me the URL to the script? td @ vitinh.de
- Go to http://100webspace.net and register an free account to try and see how it works with subdomains.

Hello,

Yes, it was my 2nd attempt. I did as you suggested (removed the files) and now everything is working smoothly.

Thank you so much for your quick and courteous response!

Cheers :-)

I too have had problems on install on windows machines, but it appears only when I try to install from the browser on the server. It seems to work better from a remote computer, no failures now. Setup your server up with the files, then go on anohter pc and exectute the install.cgi. A fresh server prior to install also helps...
